The fun at Charlie House isn’t only found inside. Visiting families can access a variety of outdoor spaces tailored to all different needs and requirements. Accessible pathways guide families through the gardens to a mix of interactive musical instruments, swings, slides and roundabouts plus quiet spots to enjoy the fresh air and views of the Denburn Valley.
All the bedrooms within the Children’s Bedroom Suite open out onto a large terrace area, with a range of seating options and sensory planting. Sensory planting appeals to the senses by stimulating smell, sight, touch and sound with colourful and fragrant flowers, shrubs and plants.
In 2022, we launched the ‘Buy a Brick’ campaign which aims to raise £1million for the Big Build Appeal - a necessary initiative to develop a specialist support facility in Aberdeen for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families.
